HELP & DETAILS
Using this tool
Steps
- Open the image-to-text tool and choose a clear, well-lit photo or scan.
- Select the language that matches the text in the image.
- Run OCR and wait for the language data to load if this is your first use.
- Proofread names, dates, numbers, and other important details before using the extracted text.
Supported languages
ReadyLens OCR supports English, Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. Recognition works best when the image is sharp, text is well lit, and the page is not tilted.
OCR is a draft, not a verified transcript
OCR can misread letters, punctuation, names, and numbers, especially in low-resolution or handwritten content. Compare important information with the source image. The tool does not certify or validate extracted text.
Local OCR and first-use downloads
The OCR work runs in your browser. The browser downloads the recognition worker and language data on first use; those downloads contain no user image.
Common questions
Which languages can I extract?
English, Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu are supported.
Why does OCR sometimes get words wrong?
Blur, low contrast, shadows, small text, handwriting, and page tilt can reduce recognition accuracy. Proofread the output against the image.
Is the image sent to a server?
The image is processed in your browser. OCR model files may be downloaded by the browser, but those downloads do not contain your image.
Application rules differ and can change. Confirm dimensions, formats, and size limits in the latest official instructions. ReadyLens does not guarantee acceptance by an external portal.
